Everything you need to know about how to best enjoy Cultivate Festival.
What to expect
We are an inclusive festival, but there’s always more we can do. With that in mind, we partnered with Trinity College School and their students helped us evaluate all of our event spaces. Students attended a one hour training session on accessibility and inclusivity led by Megan Chesney, local accessibility and inclusivity expert. Students then toured all of our event spaces and they had tons of helpful suggestions for us.
Here is a list of some I.D.E.A initiatives in 2024.
- Free passes for anyone who requires them with our “No Questions Asked” policy.
- I.D.E.A Squad Volunteers
- Baby feeding and changing station
- Indigenous Artist in Residency Program
- Time and Space Tent (quiet sensory play tent)
- Shade Tents
- Accessible seating and ramps where necesarry

time and space Sensory tent
What is a Time and Space sensory tent? The Time and Space Sensory tent is located at the back end of the Cultivate Kids area. This air conditioned yurt is a quiet place for families/kids to take a break from the festival and self regulate through quiet play activities like: sand play, colouring, play-doh, reading and fidgets. Thanks to Enbridge for helping us make this happen!
emergency services
St. John's Ambulance will be on site for any emergency (and non-emergency) issues that may come about. They are centrally located for easy access.
