The Land Canadian Adventures presents:
Nature Walks with Pete Moss!

Join Pete Moss from the Land Canadian Adventures for an immersive nature walk around the Cultivate Festival grounds. Participants will learn to identify bird species, how to interpret bird language and identification of key wild edibles. Using a playful, beginner-friendly approach, Pete will support kids and families in engaging their senses and curiosity to connect with the natural world.

DIY Hand-woven Art

Join us at the Cultivate Kids art studio to create colourful, one-of-a-kind hand-woven yarn art, perfect for decorating your bedroom — or your tent!

Square Dancing

Join Martha Cooper, Lotus Wight, Luke Mercier and Chris Culgin are masters of the square dance! Martha is the caller and she and her old timey band will body moving while having a whole lotta fun.

 

story telling and songs with tia Wood

Raised in a home filled with music and culture, Tia Wood discovered her passion for singing at a very young age. Inspired and supported by her parents, her siblings, and her rich Plains Cree and Coast Salish heritage, Tia's musical journey continues to flourish. From performing with her family to creating viral TikTok videos, and now releasing new music with Sony Canada, her roots remain a vital part of her artistry. Join Tia Wood in the Cultivate Kids Village for this engaging session of storytelling and songs.

Making Friendship Bracelets

Grab your festie bestie or show up to meet a new pal at our hands-on art studio in the kids village where you can make your own wearable art, using beads, embroidery thread, or both. As Taylor said “make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it!”

Dungeons and Dragons Club

Roll up for this for-tweens, by-tweens mini-campaign of imaginary fantasy world-building. Experience with role-playing games won’t hurt, but beginners are welcome to join as well! Space is limited -- sign up in the children’s village to reserve your spot.

Pete Moss Music

Connect with local nature through songs, stories and movement with children’s performer Pete Moss. Children, families and caregivers will actively participate in songs and stories about local plants, birds, wildlife and weather. Celebrate nature through learning bird calls, how to identify common plants and animal tracks and moving like local creatures through song.

TRACTOR RIDES

Slow down and take a load off. The views of this amazing property are what it’s all about. That and the extremely photographable moments!

Thin edge puppets

Hailing from Kingston, ON, this family troupe of puppeteers is making their Cultivate Festival debut with delightful puppetry animation in the Cultivate Kids village and beyond. Master of puppets and multi-disciplinary artist Josh Lyon has trained at Norway’s Nordland Visual Theatre and is a founding member of Kingston’s Calliope Collective.

The Land Canadian Adventures presents Nature Field Games with Pete Moss

Join Pete Moss for a session of nature-connected field games where we'll embody local creatures avoiding forest fires, pretend to be squirrels avoiding sneaky foxes, become a team of chipmunks trying to protect our cache and more! These active, hands-on games are great for getting out energy while embracing our wild sides! Games are designed for children ages 5-12 and sunscreen, water bottles and hats are highly recommended.

Face Painting

Get ready to bring your most imaginative ideas to life with Maddy Hamel, Cultivate Festival's favourite local face painter! Maddy returns to transform your most fantastic face-painting dreams into vibrant, colorful reality!

goat Calling Competition

Did you know that the sound a goat makes is called a bleat? Do you think you can do it? We think you can try! Join us on the main stage for our first annual goat calling competition. All ages are welcome - prepare to laugh!

MINI SHMURGLES

It's all about the goats! Enjoy a taste of Haute Goat's signature experience - the Shmurgle. Join us in the Goat Playground to cuddle, snuggle and love on the Haute Goats. Prepare to do a lot of giggling. Shmurgling will leave you feeling joyful and just plain happy. Make sure to bring your camera.

Paper Bag Costume Party

Whether they dream of becoming forest animals, or fantastical creatures, kids of all ages are invited to transform mild-mannered leaf bags into super costumes! Once their masterpieces are complete, participants can proudly wear their unique creations and later join our fun family parade.

Parade with Trash Panda Brass Band and Giant Puppets

Dress up fancy, grab a flag, we’re going on parade to show off for all of Cultivate to see just how wonderful and wacky Cultivate Kids can get! Meet in the heart of the kids village to don your parade-wear and set out for a fun promenade through the festival grounds to the tune of Trash Panda’s big sound!

We know, though, that it's not easy for everyone and we'd like to remove as many barriers as possible to the Cultivate experience.
