We’re bringing it all home as the festival culminates in The Big Weekend! A Three day, family friendly, farm-to-festival celebration of local food, drink, art and culture in downtown Port Hope! Dozens of local food vendors, craft beer, wine and spirits, live art installations, culinary workshops, 60 vendor marketplace and the Kawarthas Northumberland Butter Tart Taste Off! 

Kids 12 and under are always free!

As legendary Chef Auguste Escoffier put it, the omelette is “really a special type of scrambled egg enclosed in an envelope of a coagulated egg”. Step in the kitchen with Chef Albert Ponzo as he demonstrates the classic French omelette filled with seasonal ingredients.

Kids of all ages are invited to join Port Hope Health Centre’s Naturopathic Doctor – Dr. Stacey to make their own applesauce from locally picked apples. Bring your muscles and your appetite!

CULTIVATE MARKETPLACE AND BUTTER TART TASTE-OFF

September 23rd • Rotary Park • Downtown Port Hope

The sweetest event of the year! This free event takes place along the street and river banks outside of the festival. We host 60 vendors including 25 food and beverage artisans (including Canada’s best shortbread),  arts + crafts, and, of course, 20+ of the best butter tart bakers in the world! Try one, or try them all! See how your taste compares to the pros. The taste-off will include awards for Classic, Gluten Free, Arts ‘n’ Tarts (artistry and creativity) and 100 mile tart!
