Frequently Asked Questions

Where does cultivate take place?

In beautiful downtown Port Hope, in Memorial Park to be exact. It’s located on Queen St. between Walton and Augusta. Here’s a map.

What are the hours of the festival?

The festival takes place Friday, Sept 22 / 2017 from 5pm – 11pm, Saturday, Sept 23 / 2017 11am – 11pm, and Sunday, Sept 24 / 2017 11am – 5pm

What does the ticket price include?

Your ticket will grant you admission to the park which includes all the live music, educational seminars, Cultivate kids area, access to all of the food and beverage vendors and more.

Does it include any tastings?

It does not. Although the beer and wine vendors are good about letting you sample a taste before you buy.

How much is beer, wine, and food?

We want you to be able to taste as much as possible!

Our beers are 12oz servings for $5. Wine is $5 for a 4oz serving. Our food ranges from $3 -$12 depending on the size of the portion. Tickets will be sold in increments of $3.

Where do I park?

Great news! Street parking is free during the hours the festival is open. There are also a few municipal lots around. One on Elias St. between Queen and John. Another behind town hall on Queen St. just south of Memorial Park. Another off of Cavan St. just North of Walton St.

Also, keep in mind that Port Hope is a small place. Anywhere south of Walton St. won’t be a long walk – 6-7 minutes, tops.

Where do I get tickets?

Right here on the site is the easiest. Or on our Facebook page.

What should I bring?

You could bring a blanket or a low folding chair, but we do have some casual seating. Bring some weather appropriate clothing. Cash is good, but we do have an ATM on site. Sunglasses, SPF… Cellphones and cameras are good, but we don’t have chargers. Most of all, bring a hungry belly and lots of joy!

Is Cultivate Family Friendly?

YES! Please bring your kids. They (and you ) will love it. Trust us.

Is Cultivate Accessible?

We are an accessible festival. Although the park is flat, it’s not perfect — it’s an outdoor, grassy surface. Our entrance, washrooms and viewing points are all accessible.

Can I bring outside food or drink?

We certainly don’t encourage it. Alcohol, definitely not. We are pretty reasonable people though, so we understand you gotta do what you gotta do. We, and our vendors, however, would truly appreciate your support within the grounds.

Can I bring my pets?

Because our festival has such a focus on food and beverage, it is an animal-free zone.

Is there a schedule of the days events?

There will be, but not yet. It won’t be long though!

I have more questions!
